Welcome to the Sarasota Jewish Network

Sarasotajnet is an interactive e-mail list which allows you to broadcast e-mails to all those on the list, as well as receive e-mail from others. It has been created to give all Jewish residents of the Greater Sarasota / Manatee area the opportunity of communicating with each other about issues, interests and needs. Sarasotajnet will enable you to develop connections by creating an on-line community of friends and neighbors!

You can use this network to :

  • Offer and find goods and services
  • Discuss issues of local concern
  • Find out about special events
  • Link to local organizations and activities
  • Connect with people who you would have no other way of meeting

How to Join

To add your name to the list, send a blank e-mail with your first and last name in the subject line to

How to Use

To post a new message, send it to:
send@lists.sarasotajnet.org (add this address to your contact list)

When replying to a message:
click on “reply” to communicate with the sender

These are the rules that make our network run:

  1. Only members of the list can send to the list.
  2. This list is moderated to ensure the appropriateness of all material posted. Common sense rules of good taste will apply.
  3. Jokes and cartoons are not allowed.
  4. No material derogatory to individuals will be accepted.
  5. Attachments will not be allowed. This reduces the chance of computer viruses and helps to keep file sizes small for dial up users.
  6. You are limited to sending one group e-mail each day. E-mail replies to specific communications are unlimited.
  7. self-promotion is not allowed.
